For years, I have been one of those people who wears a jacket no matter how hot it gets because I need the pockets to carry my phone, wallet, two sets of keys, my sunglasses, an asthma inhaler and a small coin purse. Having suffered enough this summer with the heat, I decided to find myself another way to carry everything so I could ditch my jacket. After a lot of shopping around, this was the sling bag I purchased. One, it was big enough to carry what I needed it to hold but was not so big that some stores might ask me to leave it at the front counter. Two, I could wear the bag across my chest so that it was never out of my line of sight. Last but not least, it didn't resemble a woman's purse. Despite it saying it is made from nylon, the exterior of the sling bag feels like polyurethane made to look and feel like leather. (The interior lining of the various pockets and compartments do seem to be made from nylon.) The fact that the sling bag looks like it is leather, it is very stylish but in an understated sort of way. I cannot speak for how well the bag stands up to daily use as I have only had it for about a week. However, there have not been any issues with the quality or workmanship at this point. The shoulder strap is adjustable so it should fit most people. That being said, this is not what I would call a good school backpack. While you could get a couple of paperback books in it, it is not big enough to hold standard sized binders or textbooks. However, if you need something to carry some smaller items safe and sound while out and about, this may be the sling bag for you.
