Bought this as and alt to similar premium outdoor brand products and I was very happy with it - Saved over $200. I bought the 60L and was able to take it as carry on 4 small planes where people were being asked to gate check standard sized carryon luggage. The bag when packed full looks quite large but only on one flight did the gate attendant ask if the bag would pack down - no issues at all getting it into the smaller overhead bins on those flights. Very durable and kept the rain out but I wouldn't consider it water proof like a dry bag. Overall I'm very happy it and will be using it a lot this winter so will see how it holds up.I hate pulling a luggage around airports or even when I'm going on a road trip. Hence a bag like this one works for me. It's durable, looks the same as it was on the first use. No sign of wear and tear after 8 months of moderate to high usage.I thought it was as great as advertised. It is a wedding gift was a something well received! The couple travel a lot and I am happy they used it right away! The best thing is there is the guarantee I purchased for the luggage ?!I bought the 40L bag for my son who uses it to transport his athletic gear and school stuff to an from campus on his bike. The size, shape, and functionality of the bag are EXCELLENT! It's a perfect size for carrying his workout gear and his school backpack with his laptop and books (he stashes his gear in a locker at the athletic center and takes his school backpack to classes during the day). The carrying options are very handy and the shape makes it work great as a backpack. He particularly likes the compartments on the ends for keeping his wet shoes and other gear separate from stuff in the main compartment. He's used it heavily almost every day for the last 8 months and has 2 main complaints: 1) the velcro on the flap that encloses the backpack straps when they are stashed catches on clothing and abrades it; 2) the water-resistant layer bonded to the nylon has started to delaminate, crack, and flake off. The velcro issue wasn't a huge deal as he could simply remove it but then he couldn't stash the backpack straps. Some kind of snap for the enclosure would be better. As for the water-resistant coating, swapping PVC for TPU might make a big difference. I imagine it would increase the price of the bag, but it would be still be an excellent value even at an increased price.I purchased this bag to use for international flight carry-on. I was so glad I did, and was happy to sift thru the reviews and make sense of what I really needed vs the bozo reviews. This bag fits a lot, used 4 packing cubs - toiletry bag, 2 hats, and love the separate zippered shoe pockets on either end of the bag. Like that it is a D opening not a duffle opening, makes packing and unpacking way easier. The backpack straps are super handy for moving about the terminal hands free along with those moments when you have to run for a flight. This is definitely not a backpacking bag but is suitable for air, car, train, and bus travel. Happy with my purchase and the price is much more doable than shelling out for a patagonia duffle.I will start with the 2 negatives. It looks cheap (people just by looking think its plastic) and the velcro flap is forced open by the backpack straps which allows water to enter if its raining. The positives it is really high quality and very durable. It is the perfect size for 3+ days of necessities. The backpack straps are comfortable even when the pack is full. The two handles are strong and well placed. The pockets are nice and the netted pockets on the inside of the flap are big. All in all this is the best bag I've ever owned. If I could add one thing I would put a stretchy net pocket on the side (to put a water bottle or maybe wet clothing) Gonex is top quality.Great for outdoor useStill trying it out. Have not tried it out in the rain or wet.We bought this bag for our son's Scout trip and it has now done three camps/coach trips. We bought it in orange to stand out against a coach-load of black and grey bags and it has served its purpose perfectly! The shoe compartment is a great size and easily accommodates our son's size 9 hiking boots, trainers and sliders. The other end pocket is also a good size and there are two mesh pockets on the inside of the lid that are great for a wash kit or book. We have not tested the waterproof capabilities beyond a light shower, but the fabric feels as though it would do well. Following the demo, it is easy to fold this bag up and it packs away small and neatly for storage. I would like the small pocket on one side to be a bit larger and I find the bag a bit awkward to hold in one hand as a holdall, as the handles are designed to be worn as a backpack.I use this bike as a motorcycle courier. It's perfect. Opens wide, can fit almost anything and because it's tall even if I put heavy things inside it's going to sit/rest on the motorbike behind me comparing to normal backpacks that'll put the weight on my shoulders. All in all impressive and looks professional. I've not tested it in the rain yet.Very versatile, many zipped pockets to accommodate everything for travel. Excellent variety of carrying straps Excellent vslue for the money, not cheap, but yiu only get what you pay for. Highly recommended, would buy it again.I took this on a trip to italy where we were train hopping a lot, and thought it would be a better option to have a large backpack rather than wheelie suitcase. It was good in the fact that it fit all my clothes/shoes etc but when full it was horrible to carry. It really needs a strap or two to go around your waist and hips to support your upper back.Great product for the price! Loads of useful storage and exceeded my expectations. I bought the 80l and actually could have got away with the 60l as this big is massive.Would buy again if I needed too.
