I was looking for a small personal item for upcoming trips to Europe on airlines with small baggage allowances. In this respect, it was perfect. Sized just right. Laptop compartment was perfect, and I fit a small packing cube and in-flight essentials I needed. Because it only has a limited capacity, I would not overfill, so it was never too heavy for my back. I wish it was a smidge wider.Downsides: the straps, even when adjusted to the smallest setting, were too long and the bag hung down too low. I found a way to shorten the straps another inch or so by using Velcro straps near the hardware, so, while this fixed the issue, it is not a permanent solution. I’m still trying to figure out a way to make that happen. You definitely need both hands to open the top zipper. If you fill the bag, you cannot fit water bottles in the side pockets. When you use the top handles to carry it like a tote, the backpack straps do not tuck away, so they dangle and flap.If I had paid half the price, I would feel it was a better value for what it is. Not a bad bag, but not everything I hoped.
