First, to level-set anyone reading this: I use this bag to carry my things when I play poker. I am male and do not use this bag for baby products. The Bad: I will start off with the bad. My only "bad" experience with the backpack is hanging it off the back of a chair by its straps. When I am sitting at the poker table I hang my backpack off the end of a chair, at times the straps would loosen from my desired strap length. My bag was not heavy, I had a light wind breaker jacket, some protein bars, a 12 oz bottle of water, a wallet, BOSE headphones, and an ipod. I've used this bag about 6 times to play poker and twice my straps have loosened on its own. Not a big deal, I am still giving this bag 5 stars!Bro's hate this bag: So I sat down at the poker table in the Venetian (In Las Vegas) and a very "bro/fratty guy" leans over to "his boy" and says, "bro check out the guy with the designer bag?!?!". This bag will definitely be a buzz-kill if you're looking to attract "bro's". Granted my sample size is 1 in terms of encountering a "bro" at the poker table, so if you're into stats this could be a false-positive.The Good: I will list the good things in no particular order1. There are lots of pockets! For a poker player this is good! I brought this bag to Las Vegas during March Madness 2018 (year #16 UMBC beat #1 Virginia) to play poker. As a poker player I bring a lot of things: wind breaker jacket, some protein bars, a 12 oz bottle of water, a wallet, BOSE headphones, and an ipod. I am always scared of losing these items, I bought this bag because there are so many hidden pockets INSIDE the bag. There is great interior pocket design for placing items you don't want to lose in case you forget to zip the main pocket(s) or some scumbag tries to pick-pocket you. note: My favorite pocket is the pocket on the flat side of the bag - the part of the bag touching your back when you wear it. I love this pocket because there is no way someone can pick-pocket this compartment when I wear it. I've never seen a bag with this pocket and is a big reason why I decided to purchase this bag.2. The small bags that come with the backpack are a big bonus! I initially had no use for the smaller bags, but I found that the largest "extra" bag is perfect for a toiletry bag. I used to use a plastic grocery bag as my toiletry bag - not anymore! The smaller black "extra" bag I ended up using when I run. It has been perfect for holding my keys while I run. #Value3. The durability of the bag: As I mentioned earlier, I've used this bag to play poker 6 times and it was last used during March Madness in Las Vegas. In Las Vegas there were lots of accidental spilled drinks on the bag, big crowds bumping into the bag, and several poker players bumping into the bag while it hung off the back end of my chair. The verdict: The bag was easy to clean when drinks were spilled on it and I saw no permanent scratched from being bumped all weekend in Vegas. Now to be honest, I used a Jansport backpack as my previous poker back pack for over a decade and for the most part the bag looked fine, but I think this Kalea backpack definitely passes the test if you want to use it for poker! I would assume that this bag also passes the test of spilled baby formula, spilled Gerber food, baby drool, and the battles the bag encounters in the real world.4. Fold-ability: So I took this on a plane, BUT not just any plane - a Spirit Airline plane. If you have no experience flying Spirit, it is the Cadillac of airlines. My carry-on was this backpack. I had to cram this backpack under my seat during the flight because all the stow bins were full! That said, the bag was crunched under the seat for a couple hours. The awesome thing about this backpack is there were no permanent crease marks on the bag! Great job in terms of quality material that doesn't show crease marks.5. The Look: The bag with the black and gold creates attention - at least in the poker world. Out of the 6 times I've used this bag, I have been complimented twice on the bag (but had 1 bad encounter with a "bro" - see 'The Bad' of my review!) If you don't like attention based off of things you wear, then this bag might not be for you.Overall, this bag deserves 5 stars. It is exactly what I thought plus more (I now have a new toiletry travel bag and a running bag as well!). The back pack has more pockets than you know what to do with - I guess babies require a lot of things and the intent of this bag is to tailor to babies so it makes sense. The quality of the material is A+ due to not creasing when the bag is squished, and it easily washes off spills you'd encounter in Las Vegas. Thanks, Kalea! We used this as a diaper bag for travel throughout South America for 3 months and it was perfect to go under the seat on a plane or overhead. It is the perfect diaper bag! The pad saved us so many times and we kept our diapers, wipes and bum cream in the larger white bag, such an amazing product with amazing quality! I was worried about other reviews but so happy we went with this! It still has so much life left and I will eventually use it as my own backpack.I've had several different diaper bags over the years - name brand and offbeat brand, and none of them compare to this bag! I will say that this is the first backpack style diaper bag that I have owned. I'll do my best to list the pros and cons that I think will be helpful to anyone looking at this bag:PROS:1. Very roomy! This bag has SO much space and will fit a lot of stuff. Some may not want a bag this large, but as a mom of one baby and 3 older children, I'm always carrying everyone's stuff around so I love that it is very large.2. Easy to organize everything because of all the compartments. It has a compartment on the front for smaller items and even has a clip for keys so they don't get lost. If you're like me, your keys are always making their way to the bottom of your purse or diaper bag, so this feature is very helpful.3. It attaches to luggage handles very easily. It has a specific sleeve that fits right over the handle on your rolling luggage. SO convenient when traveling and running through an airport with littles.4. Lots of extras - it comes with extra pouches and bags for changes of clothes, bottles, you name it. It also comes with a quality changing pad. More on this below.5. The bag fully unzips, which is very nice when trying to find something or when you are trying to clean out the bag and reorganize.6. It has a smaller zipper compartment on the very back for your valuables so that they are not easily swiped. This is the feature that sealed the deal for me on this bag because we live in Central Florida where we frequent amusement parks. I'm always leery of someone swiping our wallets or phones and this helps to keep that risk to a minimum.7. It has straps that attach to any stroller.8. It has a breathable mesh back which keeps sweat factor down.CONS:1. The changing pad is kind of small compared to others I've owned, but like I said above, is good quality.2. It only comes in one color. I love this color scheme, but I'm also a fan of color, especially pink since I have a baby girl. I think this bag would be adorable in other colors and prints!3. It is very large and some people may find that inconvenient.4. I couldn't find other products or information about the maker of this bag anywhere online. Could possibly be a new company/product, but some may not like that fact.Overall I highly recommend this bag. I'll be watching to see if they put out other colors. I would love a hot pink one for my baby girl!I’ve been using this backpack nearly. Every day for the past year and a half and I am overall pretty satisfied with it! I use it for a diaper bag and school bag since it has a laptop pocket inside. I am IN LOVE with the amount of pockets that this back pack has, let alone the multiple bags it comes with for further organization. The backpack is absolutely PERFECT for travel. The only thing keeping me from posting this as a five star review is the craftsmanship of my unit. The padding of the sides of the back pack isn’t secured to the fabric so I do find myself straightening it out often. The draw string on the wipe side almost immediately broke on one side and released from the socket when I first pulled on it. That disappointed me as it was fresh out of the box when it happened :/ if it wasn’t for those two issues I had with mine, It would be absolutely 100% perfect. I can’t find another like it. I need them to make more colors!!
