I bought this purse/backpack in A-Brown, size large a few weeks ago for an upcoming trip (I’m the “mom-friend” and tired of carrying the weight of the world on one shoulder). I’ve been giving it a few practice runs, and though it’s not packed as full as it will be, it has performed very well.Firstly, the side pockets hold regular water bottles (16.9oz-20oz) very well. I haven’t had the opportunity to try larger, but I think as long as the bottle is round, I could go a bit bigger. The front pockets are not very wide- you could fit an iPhone 6 or 8, but some larger phones or bulkier cases may not fit so well.The main compartment is in the back, which is great for security. There is a zippered pouch inside the flap which is large enough for a credit card holder and your keys, with some room to spare, and there are two open pockets in the inside- I keep my phone in one and sunblock in the other.The main compartment was big enough to hold my backup sandals (size 9 women’s, wide), wallet, gimbal, a water bottle, one of those phone chargers that’s bigger than the phone, a T-shirt, small container of leftovers, and I still had space to work with. I tested it out with my sneakers before I added the water and leftovers, and I do think it would have still held everything.It distributes the weight evenly, is pretty comfortable to wear, looks really good, and the straps are easy to adjust. The do twist at the bottom if you’re not careful, and you want to be sure that the purse strap is removed or hangs over the front before putting it on as a backpack.The purse strap does work well, but it’s slippery and not adjustable. It hangs a little low for my personal comfort (lower hip on me), but I’m assured that it looks good and like a regular purse when wearing it that way. The strap clips on so it’s easy to replace if you have one you like better.The hand strap is nice and sturdy, and I find that I use it more often than I’d expected.I don’t think it’s real leather, due to the thinness and small sample fabric scrap that came with it, but if it’s not, it’s a much higher quality imitation than I’m used to seeing.Over all, I’m very pleased with this purchase, and would definitely recommend it.
