I liked that all of my items are easily accessible in a compact medium sized backpack.There are 4 compartments:1) I use the main large compartment to carry a camping hammock, tent footprint, bivy bag, running shoes, shower shoes, documents, swim trunks, light running shirt, scarf, thermal shirt, 3 pairs of socks and underwear, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand wipes, pocket stove and small can of cooking fuel, spork, and 7 days of food.2) I use the back outer pocket to carry a map and compass, small first aid kit, thermal blanket, cell phone and charger, and eye glass case.3 & 4) I use the 2 side pockets for 2 Nalgene 32 OZ bottles and 1 tin cup fitted with one of the bottles.I also like the rugged feel of the backpack.I liked that this backpack was delivered to me very fast.I do not like the lack of padding for my back. Its just canvas. I use my running shoes and shower shoes to provide some kind of padding.Love it. Thank you Diane for making my Duluth Pack!My only issue is that some smaller items can fall out of the side pockets even when they are strapped closed. I make sure that I have a pair of socks on top of those items and I'm good to go.I have had this pack for a year and a half. I literally do not leave my house without this pack. I take it on business travel, vacation, to work every day, and even hiking. The only sign of wear is where my dog "nibbled" on one of the straps. Duluth Pack, if you could make your leather straps a little bit less tasty then that would be an improvement. The life-time warranty will be wasted on me, this pack will be around a lot longer than I will.When I ordered this pack I wasn't sure what color, so I chose the spruce...well the color is one thing, but the quality is outstanding...there isn't much like a Duluth pack...have used it often and its classy, durable and well made!A little high in price points, but well constructed and durable.These bags are made to beat the elements. This is my second Duluth Pack, not because anything happened to the first, but because I appreciate good craftsmanship and products that last their cost. Also, they're easy to waterproof yourself ;)I got this backpack early summer 2016 and it's been going strong ever since. I wore it every day for a ~4 yrs years when I was commuting to work/school and I wear it about 3x/wk now. Besides a few frays in the shoulder straps it doesn't look much different than the day I got it. I added the patches. If this bag ever wears out I'll update the review.The only complaint is it only has three pockets, since I always fill them up with my water bottle + sunglasses + snacks + misc.Highly recommend.Another excellent Duluth Pack item. The Wanderer pack (like all their bags) is attractive, functional & incredibly well made. it will easily last for many decades. American craftmanship at its finest.Terrible quality. Amazon replaced the first pack due to defective stitching and the second one was later found to have the same problem. Unfortunately, I discovered this after Amazon's return period had expired. Contacted Duluth directly and they wouldn't repair/replace their defective product.
